Ok, so blogging is obviously something that I am not very good at. Here are some photos from the last couple of months.
I am 7 1/2 months pregnant now and Mazie kicks like it is her job.

Cows at Sauvie Island

22 weeks
So we decided to get some fresh veggies on Sauvie Island, but the farm hasn’t opened yet so we just toured around and talked to some cows. Later, we got inspired by our neighbors to do some yard work. We planted wild flowers, lavender and strawberries. I am hoping they grow!

19 Weeks
Yes, if there is one thing everyone knows about me, it is that I am absolutely horrible at staying in touch. I thought this blog would help, although I am finding that updating it in a timely manner to be a little difficult as well. I guess it is because I have always thought of blogs and social networking sites as gratuitous and self-indulgent, but I am starting to see the light as it is helping to bridge the communication gap for me.
Well, since I am far away from my family and friends, I have received requests for photos of my largeness (although there was one request for no belly shots so I’ll spare everyone the typical bare belly photo). So here I am as of Sunday. 19 weeks and I think I am just now starting to get bigger by the minute.
Oh, and I guess the biggest update of all is that we found out we are having a GIRL! Her name is Mazie Lynn Bugbee and I have started feeling her flutter around in my belly, which is super crazy. I can’t believe that there is another human being inside of my body. I’m really starting to fixate on the circle of life these days and it’s making me embarrassingly emotional, so I’ll stop now.

I guess I am back to the original due date of August 10th. Our baby is just measuring a little bigger than expected, which is why the ultrasound tech and doctor thought I was a week ahead. I have a feeling that our little bean is going to be tall like dad!
So tomorrow I will be 16 weeks officially. I feel like I’m in some sort of pregnancy Groundhog’s Day.
I have gained 6 pounds and it feels like my body is not my own anymore. My clothes are not fitting and I don’t look pregnant yet, so it still feels and looks like I have just eaten a little too much pasta. It’s fine of course
, just a little uncomfortable.
Not sure if I want to find out the sex of the baby before it is born. I wasn’t going to find out, but now I can’t decide. We’ve had so many “surprises” (the pregnancy, finding out that my company doesn’t offer short-term disability – i.e. no paid maternity leave, Jeff getting laid off and being informed that my insurance only covers a marginal amount of the delivery – which means that we have to pay over $12,000 out-of-pocket), that lately I feel we’ve had enough surprises to last us a lifetime!
Anyhoo, soon I’ll get up the courage to post a photo of my belly…..

This is the a 3-D Ultrasound at 13 weeks 4 days.
Tomorrow I should be 15 weeks pregnant and I am so happy to finally be out of the first trimester. The nausea is starting to subside and I haven’t vomited in almost a week! My energy is starting to come back as well. Yep, I have been absolutely miserable for the last 2 months.
Our due date is now August 4th (it changed from August 10th).
For a while there I was craving veggie hot dogs with boat loads of relish. I dry-heave on the thought of pot roast and scented dryer sheets.
Stay tuned, more photos to come!
